ACADEMY · STAGE 04

The real cost of funding an overseas broker

FUNDING9 minEducational lesson

See how wire fees, correspondent deductions and FX conversion can change the economics of small transfers.

Fixed fees create drag

A fixed wire charge consumes a larger percentage of a small transfer than a large transfer. Repeating that fee every month can materially change annual funding cost.

Model, do not pretend

Correspondent deductions and FX spreads may not be known in advance. CIL keeps them as explicit assumptions rather than silently treating them as zero.

Use CIL

Run the Funding Frequency Comparison, then choose a cadence based on your own cash flow, timing preferences and costs.

Before marking this stage complete

Make sure you understand the concept and have checked any live information that applies to your own situation. Completion in CIL is a personal progress marker, not verification by CIL.
